Best-in-Slot gear lists for every spec in Midnight Season 1. Stat priorities, trinket rankings, and alternative items for all 13 classes.

This page covers Best-in-Slot (BIS) gear targets for every class and spec in the current season. You'll find slot-by-slot recommendations, stat priorities, S/A/B/C trinket tiers, tier set 2/4-piece bonuses, and farming paths split by raid and Mythic+. Always remember that a BIS list is a theoretical optimum. At lower item levels, chasing higher overall ilvl usually beats sticking to the BIS list, and tier set pieces almost always come first until you complete the 4-piece.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are the BIS guides built?

Editors write each guide based on the spec's stat priority, tier set effects, trinket procs, and content bias (single target vs AoE, raid vs Mythic+). We cross-check against the actual choices of top-ranked WarcraftLogs players, and if theory and reality diverge in the current season or patch, the editorial notes call it out.

Why is there no editorial commentary on my spec's BIS page?

Editorial notes are written gradually, starting with priority specs that have a sufficient sample size and both BIS and meta snapshot data. Specs without notes still show the data table but are excluded from search engine indexing. They get indexed once notes are added.

Should I just follow BIS no matter what?

It depends. If your weapon item level gap is large or you don't have your 4-piece yet, ignore the BIS order and equip the higher-ilvl item first. If you mostly push Mythic+, AoE-leaning trinket combos may serve you better; if you mostly raid, single-target trinkets often win. These exceptions are listed in each BIS guide's 'When it's OK to break BIS' section.
