Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ Dungeon Guides

Trash and boss mechanics for every dungeon, broken down by tank, healer, and DPS. Use the role tabs to highlight what matters for your role.

The Season 2 Dungeon Pool

Season 2's Mythic+ rotation pairs five Midnight dungeons with three returning ones. The new entries are Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, and Voidscar Arena; the returns are Ruby Life Pools from Dragonflight plus Kings' Rest and Temple of Sethraliss from Battle for Azeroth. Timers run from 28 minutes in Ruby Life Pools, the tightest in the pool, to 34 minutes in Murder Row. A long timer is not a relaxed one — Murder Row packs enough trash to spend every minute of it.

Where to Start

If you are new to the season, Ruby Life Pools is the gentle entry: three bosses, a linear path, and a Season 2 pass that thinned out the trash and eased the boss tempo. Save Kings' Rest for later. It is widely rated the hardest key of the season — the pull-killing casts come thick and fast, so a missed interrupt assignment wipes you outright, and the linear layout leaves no route tricks to cover a mistake. In between, Den of Nalorakk is good practice: its soak and body-block moments are clearly telegraphed.

The Returning Dungeons Have Changed

All three were retuned for Season 2. Temple of Sethraliss gained an immunity-swap mechanic on its first boss and had its final boss rebuilt from scratch. Kings' Rest locks the Council of Tribes into a fixed order and reworks Dazar's kit, while Ruby Life Pools made several casts interruptible. Old season guides will steer you wrong in places.

Settle These Before You Pull

Tanks: read the must-interrupt list for the dungeon and split a kick rotation before the first pull. Pre-use a cooldown on highlighted elites, and reset stacking attack-speed buffs with a stun or a short kite rather than tanking through them.

Healers: dispel requirements differ sharply by dungeon. Temple of Sethraliss throws three separate poison effects at you, and Altar of Fangs gets much harder without dispels. Check your group's dispel coverage first.

DPS: killing summoned adds first decides more keys than raw throughput does. Hatchlings, elementals, whatever it is — left alone they snowball. For beams and pools that need splitting, assign positions before the pull.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does this information come from?

Each dungeon was cross-checked against six or more guide sites and community sources. Every dungeon page links its sources at the bottom, and where sources disagree we state both readings. Anything still unsettled this early in the season is marked as such rather than guessed at.

How do the role tabs work?

Pick tank, healer, or DPS at the top of a dungeon page and that role's notes expand while the others collapse to their headings. We keep the other roles visible because knowing why a teammate is dying is half of coordinating a pull. Share the URL with a role selected and the other person lands on the same view.

Can I click the spell names?

Spell names in boss mechanics and interrupt tables link to Wowhead. Hover for a tooltip with cast time and damage, or click through for the full page — useful when you want the exact numbers behind a mechanic rather than the summary we give here.
